Planning a remote onshore testing programme
A remote location changes the planning conversation. This example explores how a testing brief becomes a coordinated package before equipment reaches the site.
The brief
An illustrative operator needed a surface testing programme for an onshore appraisal well. The brief combined fluid measurement, sampling coordination and a clear data handover, with limited utilities available at site.
The planning decision
The service scope was divided into measurement objectives, site interfaces and logistics. Reviewing these together exposed dependencies early: equipment arrangement, utility provision, transport access and reporting formats all needed an agreed owner.
The proposed package
A choke manifold and three-phase separation package formed the core equipment scope. The mobilisation plan also accounted for the supporting connections, instrumentation, personnel and documentation required by the agreed programme.
The handover
The example concludes with an agreed scope, interface register and reporting schedule. No performance outcome is claimed: this field note illustrates the thinking and information needed to prepare a project.
